About Our Founder

Our founder is an Australian bloke with a lifelong love of surfing. Growing up on the beaches of Queensland’s North Stradbroke Island (Straddie) and Gold Coast, and later the beaches of Sydney in New South Wales, he’s experienced the serenity and thrill of surfing. From unforgettable sunrises and sunsets in Australia, Hawaii, the US, and the Middle East, to encounters with tiger sharks cruising under his board on North Stradbroke Island and jumping off headlands into an angry ocean on big days, his love for surfing has taken him around the world.

After years of using countless bars of wax and witnessing the damage to reefs and marine life, he had an idea: to develop a eco-friendly product that is easier to apply, lasts longer, performs in any water temperature, looks better, smells great, and provides superior traction. Following years of intense work with engineers and rigorous testing, Aussie SurfSAP was born.
